A juice bar loyalty program works best when it backs a habit the guest has already chosen: the smoothie after training, the ginger shot on the way to work, the juice with lunch. Once that habit sticks, the guest comes back without thinking about it; when it slips, the chain on the corner is just as easy. This guide shows how a juice bar or smoothie bar in Denmark can set up a stamp card that rewards the habit and keeps it going.

Why a juice bar starts with an advantage

Most businesses have to invent a reason for the customer to return. A juice bar is often handed one. The guest has decided to eat a little healthier, to have something green after the gym, or to start the day with a shot. That decision repeats itself, and your job is to make sure it is your counter it repeats at.

It also means the reward does not need to be big to work. A habit customer does not need a large discount to walk in. What works is making progress visible: the guest can see they have been in five times and that the reward is three visits away. The guide to customer visit frequency goes deeper into that, including how to find out how often your regulars actually come.

What should one stamp be worth?

MightyLoyalty can stamp per visit, per item or per amount spent. In a juice bar the choice is less obvious than it looks.

Per visit is the simplest. The guest gets one stamp for coming in, whether they buy a shot or a large smoothie. It suits a juice bar where most people buy one thing at a time, and it rewards exactly what you want more of: the guest coming back.

Per item makes sense when guests often buy for others. Picture someone who picks up four smoothies for the office every Friday. With per-visit stamps they get one, the same as a guest who comes alone. With per item, staff enter the quantity at the scan, and you can name the unit "smoothie" or "juice" so the card says what the guest actually buys. Set a cap on how many stamps one scan can give, so a big order does not fill the whole card at once.

Per spend fits best if you also sell bowls, sandwiches or food, so baskets vary a lot. Guests earn stamps by how much they spend, and a small purchase can earn zero.

If in doubt, start per visit. It is the easiest to explain at the counter, and you can switch later.

Rewards that fit a healthy habit

A juice bar has a built-in edge: many of your products cost you little to make compared with what the guest feels they are worth. A shot or an extra scoop of topping is cheap for you and feels like a gift to the guest. Use that.

  • A free ginger or wheatgrass shot with the next smoothie.
  • An upgrade from small to large, or an extra topping such as protein, nut butter or granola.
  • A free smoothie on a full card, the classic everyone understands.
  • A first taste of next season's new juice before it reaches the menu.

Keep the card short. A habit customer who comes two or three times a week fills an eight-stamp card in a few weeks, and that is the point: the reward should land while the habit is new. A twenty-stamp card feels endless to a new guest. The guide to choosing a stamp card reward has more on how many stamps a card should hold.

You can also put more than one reward on the same card. A free shot at four stamps and a free smoothie at eight gives the guest two things to look forward to, and the first one arrives before motivation dips.

Streaks: reward the week, not just the visit

The strongest tool for a juice bar may not be the stamp card at all, but the streak. A streak rewards the guest for coming a set number of weeks or months in a row, for example four weeks running with at least one visit a week. When the guest can see they are three weeks in, they have a concrete reason not to skip the fourth.

That suits a juice bar because the habit is what you sell. A guest who has had their smoothie every Monday after a class for a month is close to a fixed routine, and the streak carries them the last stretch. Studios and gyms use the same logic, and the fitness studio loyalty program guide shows how attendance can be rewarded without becoming one more rule to remember.

Streaks are an add-on on Standard from 19 DKK a month, together with birthdays, and included in Pro. Pick a reward for the completed streak that feels like recognition, such as a free large smoothie or a shot of the guest's choice.

The season and January

Many juice bars are busy when it is warm and when people have promised themselves a healthier year. Whether that holds for your business, your own numbers will tell you. Whatever your pattern, use the busy weeks to sign new guests up, so you can reach them again when things go quiet.

With push and announcements, or email marketing, you can tell members about a new seasonal juice or a double stamp week in a slow spell. Both are add-ons on Standard from 19 DKK a month each and included in Pro. If you close entirely for part of the year, the challenge looks like an ice cream shop's, and the ice cream shop loyalty program guide covers how to keep guests through the break.

Getting started at the counter

Put the QR code where guests wait for their smoothie, not only at the till. They have a minute or two while the blender runs, and that is the best moment to sign up. The guest scans the code, the card opens in the browser, and there is no app to download.

From idea to first stamp
How a juice bar gets started
1
Decide what one stamp is worth

Per visit is the simplest place to start

2
Keep the card short

Eight stamps, ideally with a small reward halfway

3
Put the QR code by the waiting area

Guests sign up while the blender runs

4
Give the first stamp straight away

So the card never starts empty

Give the first stamp straight away, so the card never starts empty, and say one sentence about the reward: "Eight stamps and the smoothie is on us." That is enough.

What does it cost?

MightyLoyalty costs 99 DKK a month on Standard and 249 DKK a month on Pro, both excl. VAT, with unlimited members and unlimited stamping. Paid yearly, it is 990 DKK or 2.490 DKK a year. You can try every Pro feature free for 14 days with no payment card, and there is no setup fee and no binding period. See how the digital stamp card app works, or go straight to pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How many stamps should a juice bar card have?

Few enough that a habit customer reaches the reward within a few weeks. Eight stamps is a good starting point for a guest who comes a couple of times a week. Consider a small reward halfway, so the first gift lands while the habit is still new.

Should I stamp per visit or per smoothie?

Per visit is simplest and fits when most guests buy one thing at a time. If your guests often buy for others, per item can be fairer. In that case, set a cap on how many stamps one scan can give.

What is a streak, and does it suit a juice bar?

A streak rewards the guest for coming a set number of weeks or months in a row. It suits a juice bar well because it backs exactly the habit your business lives on. Streaks are an add-on on Standard and included in Pro.
